lurking in the depths.......

I came across an old folder lurking in the depths of my computer, with lots of OLD quilts I'd made in it, here is a few......

we have had the guys from PAM having a SALE in the shop for the last few days, sorry if it has caused any confusion, we have not closed yet, and the shop is now back to normal.

quilts back in stock

I have been toiling away the last few weeks trying to use up as much fabric as possible. So I have been making quilts like crazy, and cushions galore.....

 my studio is above the shop in Brunswick Street, and this is my view of the street when I am sitting at my sewing machine, I love sitting here and watching the goings on below, this was a particularly cold and grey day.

we are now stocked up again with quilts, and cushions are selling so fast I can't keep up, more are due in this week.

This photo has a quilt I did for them many years ago now.... their PAM fabric on one side, and velvet on the reverse side, by memory.

big news....

After 12 years filled with lots of fun and hard work, I have decided to close the retail side of douglas & hope.

I would like to thank all of our fabulous customers, suppliers and manufacturers for your support.

You will soon be able to purchase some of my products on-line and through select retail stores.

I have decided to close my stores, to give me more time with my children, it has been an enormous task being a single parent, running a business and looking after 4 year old twin boys. I feel as though I have reached my full capacity and need to wind things down a notch.

I am thinking chickens a vegie patch and TIME.

I will continue to design product, and if you would like to keep in touch with what I am doing, sign up to my newsletter through this blog site.
