it was great, the Madeleine Stamer prints were gorgeous, the swan my favorite,
it is definately worth having a look, great prices too...

check this Brit of news

SCOOP! Britney gets some Melbourne retail therapy
CELEBRITY TRACKER BY ANDREA MAGRATHNOV 11 2009 4:06PM
Poor old Britney’s facing a storm of controversy about lip-synching during concerts. So what’s a girl to do when she’s feeling the pressure? Go shopping of course!

Britney hit up Melbourne’s Collins Street on Monday afternoon, first stopping in a toy store to pick up goodies for her boys Sean Preston and Jayden James, who arrived later that afternoon with Britney’s manager (and rumoured boyfriend) Jason Trawick.

She then popped into Douglas & Hope boutique in the Block Arcade and owner Cathy Hope gave us the lowdown.

“Britney was in the store for about 20 minutes with a girlfriend and her minders,” she tells Grazia. “The bodyguards blocked off the entrance so Britney had the store to herself.

“She spent $800 on four dresses,” Cathy revealed. “Two were Fleur Wood and two Children Of The Sun, and she wore one of them out of the store.”

Britney was pretty subdued during her shopping trip, and mainly kept to herself. Her Circus tour promoter Paul Dainty has said that the star has been upset over the negative press she’s receiving in Australia.

We’re hoping Britney doesn’t do all her shopping therapy down south. Our Sydney fashion spies will be on the lookout when she arrives this weekend!

Mr Hatton

When I asked Mr Hatton to make me some 'mushroom stools',
I am sure I saw a little roll of the eyes from him, implying 'why does she want those!' or 'here she goes'
after a bit of pestering they were ready, and if I do say so myself,
he has done an incredible job, I completely love them......

they have joined his christmas tree in the window at Fitzroy.....

more magazine xmas

Inside Out have done a great Christmas Issue,
and we were lucky to get a mention.....
my melamine plates which are due in store next week have a sneek preview,
and the new beci orpin cushion due in soon as well.....

hot rod ladies

I recently took my boys to the Castlemaine hot rod show,
the cars were incredible,
but I was particularly enamoured by the wives of the hot rodders who had knitted little jumpers?
I suppose you have to busy yourself with something while your husband spends his life in the garage polishing, polishing, polishing!

and this little caravan was great.....

Saipua

I have just disovered this gorgeous florist in Red Hook, Brooklyn. New York called Saipua.
It was designed by Jeremy Barbour at Tacklebox......
I would love to sit in that chair with a cup of tea.....

I have a serious case of Wanderlust at the moment, and finding places like this just doesn't help....

opening hours

As of the 1st November 2009, the Brunswick Street store will now open at 10.30am-6pm
back in 1999 when douglas & hope began, 11am seemed an extremely civilised hour of the morning to open,
but now, it seems more like the middle of the day,
maybe it has something to do with now being a mother and having to wake up at rather uncivilised hours of the morning....

this here is a new quilted purse, it also comes in our large cosmetic/baby nappy bag size....
