this HOT weather is perfect for washing your quilts, the wool wadding dries quickly.
I fold my quilts put them in the bath with warm water, I add washing liquid and some disinfectant, (it's easy to lose track of how long ago they were last washed!! so disinfecting makes me feel better.)
just walk up and down on the quilts and you will be shocked at the color the water turns, empty the bath and re-fill with fresh water and rinse the same way, walking on the quilts. Once rinsed, pull plug out and keep walking on them and this gets out the bulk of water, hang on clothes line with the wrong side up, so you do not discolor the fronts in the sun.
