For everyone in Melbourne living with this heatwave,
it is the perfect time to get your quilts out and give them a wash.
This heat is great for drying quilts quickly.
The best way is to fill your bath with cool to warm water with some washing liquid,
fold your quilt and put it in the bath, and wash it folded, I get in the bath and walk up and down on them.
Empty the bath and re-fill to rinse the quilt.
then get as much water as possible out of the quilt and hang to dry.
In this weather they will be dry in no time!

I was on the same wavelength as you with the heat. I washed all of my big hand knitted blankets and scarves. They smell so fresh now, all ready for winter.
